Packs off even though you make the figures with straps, makes them better to paint. Def helmets and shakos. I would be tempted to go with a separate pack for the command group. Excellent figures

Hi Hat,
Any Progress on the new Austrian/Hungarian Infantry? it seems to have gone very quiet again on these despite huge support in a recent Hat poll.

They are in queue behind on-going projects but keep making noise as some projects are being finished.

Any news on the austrians?
Could we at least get some info on whats is current being developed, or at what stage is each project?
I'm looking forward to this set here, as well as the british dragoons and the prussian artillery.

The current sets being physically developed are the ACW figures, British Dragoons and 1/32 and 1/72 7YW Austrians.

Agreed, knowing what is actually being worked on at this moment in time avoids speculation and frustration!

There are very sad news, that the ACW range will been produced first and the long announced napoleonic austrians - probably with the napoleonic russians - again postponed.
I understand the euphoria of the future ACW collectors, but it will been caused a deep depression of all napoleonic collectors who are waiting already 9 years - and have to wait still some more years. It doesn´t create confidence, sorry
Please offer us a poll which range should been produced first - and it will shown far more votes and a bigger market for the napoleonic austrians and russians.

Well with this list I can finally see a little light at the end of the tunnel for people interested in the SYW. When both the Prussian and Austrian Infantries are available this will cover a great deal of nations and states since many European stated followed either Prussian or Austrian military fashion. Now where are those Prussian artillery (Expanded to 9 figures, 4 firing, 4 reloading and 1 gun captain) and a decent set of Hungarian Hussars.
Best regards,
Malcolm

The current sets being physically developed are the ACW figures, British Dragoons and 1/32 and 1/72 7YW Austrians. With the above sets all progressing well the time has come surely for the long awaited 1/72 Nap Austrian Infantry to make it to the production table. Please Hat it's nine years since we saw the masters and we again discussed this in great detail from January to April of this year making a lot of decisions along the way. What do you say Hat, do we have Austrians or are they to be Ostracized?

These will be the next set to advance. This is fantastic news and a dream come true at last 1/72 Napoleonic Austrian Infantry. Now I think I now know how Emperor Francis may have felt after the humiliating defeats at Marengo, Ulm and Austerlitz at the hands of Napoleon's Grande Armée, the Austrians thanks to Hat can start to build a new and better 1/72 army and finally look for some revenge on the table top battlefields and diorama's across the world. "Gott erhalte Franz den Kaiser" (God Save Emperor Francis).

You would think having the heads separate with the hats already on would look better when finished than the hat onto the head which looks a bit off on the 7YW figures I see. Back in the early 60s converting my Airfix ACWs to Naps required replacing all the ACW hats with shakos made of dowel or bearskin heads from the GCP set. Later on I always preferred the head and cap be one. Easier to get the entire thing onto a body.

The 7YW Prussian infantry sets that have the peg for attaching tricorns or mitres do seem to have a gap between head and hat but there is a simple solution by trimming and gluing the peg you get a better fit. It appears judging by the test sprue the New 7YW Austrians are molded with heads and backpacks already attached so you have one pose with tricorn and the same pose with mitre cap the only difference in the pose I can see is the mitre caped grenadier seems to be wearing a sword. As for the Napoleonic Austrians and Hungarians below is the last information regarding the make up of sets as far as I am aware, I am just so happy that they are going to be the next sets to advance. Post Options Post by Forum Admin on Feb 15, 2018 at 4:45am 1) Seems that the majority would like to have the backpacks on 2) Seems that the majority would like to see both helmets and shakos 3) Seems that the masses would like to see both Austrians and Hungarians It appears the best option would be a set of Austrians with detachable helmets and Hungarians with detachable shakos. 4) Command choices, still plenty of time for options: Read more: hat.freeforums.net/thread/247/1-72-napoleonic-austrians-answered?page=1#ixzz5ZtIfdfQz

Did I miss any news on Austrian Napoleonic infantry progress. Coming around to thinking about painting an Austrian army, and if I can avoid Italeri/Esci I will, but if no likely prospect of HaT Austrians, then I will have to go ahead. Thanks
