Hi HaT! I have been VERY interested in the proposed American Revolutionary War line of figures (Both British and American...and maybe eventually French and Spanish?) for quite some time. I remember when there was only one image of a fellow in a Hunting Shirt to hang my hopes on! As with my Seven Year's War Project, I use "Grant" style organizations, so I would need a lot of figures to fill out the ranks to achieve the "look" that I want. If they could match the SYW Prussians (and Austrians)....potentially deployed as Hessians, that would be outstanding. I am a big fan of your MAC format, since it allows me to customize my mix of figures without too many "extras" floating around! (Of course, conversions to casualty figures, moral indicators, and vignettes take care of almost all of those!) Due to the rugged nature of the terrain, the infantry was the most numerous, with smaller numbers of artillery and cavalry coming in a distant second and third. So....perhaps the British Regulars and Grenadiers, along with the Continentals in uniform and Hunting Shirts, released first, since anyone interested in the time period would need lots of these. Then Light Infantry types and Militia. Artillery for both sides. Then the Cavalry. (In addition to the Dragoons, would it be possible to have some "Mounted Militia" types that could be used for both Patriot and Loyalist units? That would be awesome!) Generals and Staff Officers, both mounted and on foot, supply wagons, and some generic civilians would also be very welcome additions! The fact that HaT seeks our opinion and suggestions is why I am a loyal HaT customer and supporter. I am very pleased to see progress for this particular conflict gather momentum!

I love this era and have started a 6mm project but I would still collect them in 1/72, I just would not be able to resist. Although If I am to collect them I may need to look at the SYW Prussians and hope they will also be available when the time comes.

I am certainly interested in seeing these sets produced. If you asking how many I would buy that is a different matter - I have a reasonable collection for this period already and the number I buy would depend on the material you make them in.

I'm dying for new AWI sets so a 10 for me, and would buy many of them, and want them to be released all at once as soon as possible.

I love this plan. The colonial period (seven years war and AWI) doesn't have a lot of great options so if these are like the Prussians I am super on board and will purchase a few boxes as soon as possible.

I am VERY interested in the AWI sets. Such an under produced (and sometimes poorly done) conflict.
I would take the releases however they come, as long as it sped things up. However, common sense would be to release the basic sets first and go from there. Start with British regulars (including grenadiers) and Continental regulars. Then British light inf and American militia. Then artillery (if you needed to save money/time) you could probably make the one set that does both sides (if they are in shirts/tricornes). Finally cavalry. Anything after that (Hessians, French, wagons etc is just a bonus).
In terms of sizing, I would try and match Accurate/Revell British inf, rather than the larger Hat SYW sets.
Pleased to see this era being considered again. The pics of the masters re-posted recently show just how good those initial designs are. Hopefully other users can add their support to this topic.

Love to see them... currently there are just too many badly done sets now in 1/72 by other manufacturers.

I'd like to see British in Red matching Accurate and latest Airfix, Continentals in Mid to Light Blue, and Deerskinned fighters in a Mid Tan. Release them over the period of 1 year. Please make them in your nice soft plastic like the 1899 Victorian Colonials.

AWI is the major conflict that is least-well-represented in plastic, in my view (with dreadful attempts by several companies, and only a very few useable figures overall). I will buy many boxes of any your AWI releases, in any order in which you care to release them. They are my top priority among all the possible future sets you have listed. I think that grenadiers and lights are most in need of representation -- along with Americans in non-tricorn hats (which were considerably more numerous than tricorns). The cavalry and artillery seem to me the least important, as they both played relatively minor roles in this conflict.

I am very interested in the AWI range. I waiting for them heavily since I saw the first pictures in the forum in 2011. I would love to see them in MAC format plus cavalry and artillery. Many dioramas waiting these figures.

All in. I would replace my current AWI collection with Hat miniatures (1/72) in MAC format. The masters / samples that were posted years ago would Ben perfect.

Hello. The American Bicentennial got me interested in history generally and war gaming in particular, so my interest is high for this period as it reaches back into my childhood playing with red and blue toy soldiers. As for the method of seeing them released, I would prefer a larger style box similar to the British Peninsular infantry from the Napoleonic Wars. However, I won't be the slightest bit picky about purchasing them however they are released.

endorse what's been said above: would buy several boxes of hunting shirt and tricorne continentals plus continental light infantry full dress and hunting shirts in caps. Ditto British in alternative headgear. If going down the generic route and avoiding whole sets of different arms, why not create 'legion' sets, viz. a tarleton one with eponymous headgear suitable for various units, and another with jockey or dragoon style headgear the same? This would cover much of the admittedly small 'other units' which were present in the conflict. A light artillery piece/grasshopper-galloper gun could be included.

I am very interested in these! It has been so long, I don't even remember what was offered? I think I would like to see the infantry sets come first. (Brit regs & grens, Col regs & mil, Native Americans & Frernch Regs) I would then like to see cavalry & artillery come out at the same time. Naturally, I would want the American Colonials & French in blue & the British in red! You can do the Native Americans in tan.

I do not really have an interest in AWI per say, however, as the period does serve me as a source for conversions to various War of 1812 American units; believe it or not, some of my Airfix AWI Grenadiers are painted over to serve the Militia forces of the state of Connecticut and all the officers my Airfix Washington's Army set are now Royal Navy officers, with the Standard Bearer from that set allowing the "No Quarter!" all-red flag to be touching the ground. !
That said, I would certainly would want to look over any masters that you would create. As I am looking at an ad for Don Troiani's Bunker Hill painting - There's a bunch of American Militia that have for lack of a better word "felt" hats and headscarves for headgear atop their civilian clothing. Figures in Hunting shirts or blanket coats too I can use. I also might be able to use American Artillery and the odd British Artillery piece.
As to what sets come out and when - I can say that I can wait.

This epoche is my favorite one and i still have a lot of projects waiting for appropriate miniatures. I would like to display marching and a few fighting scenes so i think the MAC format would be the best.

I have used your Napoleonic line (1/72) to build units (16 figs inf./8-9 figs cav.) so I can play Command & Colors with miniatures which looks OUTSTANDING !!!! At present,I have French,British,Prussians,Spanish, and Portuguese armies of about 12 to 16 "units" each (much better than cardboard counters---I am a board-gamer/miniature gamer so I not putting either down). I would like to do American Rev in 1/72 to play Command & Colors Tricorne so sets like your new Napoleonic Prussians which have a marching set and a command set would greatly help to continue my life long addiction--I mean hobby. Oh,I forgot to mention the Napoleonic Austrian,Dutch-Belgian,and Russians armies waiting to get painted so please do American Rev if only to give me a change of period.

I'd be 100% in and agree with most of the comments above. British Grenadiers and Light Infantry first, Americans in non-standard uniforms and British in standard uniforms second, Americans in hunting shirts, round hats, etc and Hessian Jagers third, artillery fourth. I'd rather see mounted infantry than regular cavalry.

My twopenneth.
As someone interested in the Eighteenth Century, if there is an AWI range, I will collect it, even if I would prefer SYW.
And why not? It is not on the scale of continental European wars of the period, so not hard to build up the forces necessary.
I wouldn't expect it to be released at once, but I'd want to know that a range is planned, so that, if I start collecting, there will be both British and Americans, and cavalry and artillery. If that takes 2-3 years to roll out, that's fine, so long as it does appear.
The MAC format is essential for musket era, IMHO, so that would also be a determining factor.

Would buy in large amounts. The diversity especially in American uniforms is fantastic. Personally would love different hat options like the 7YW Prussian if independent sets are to costly to produce. For British - Grenadier hats, tricorns and light infantry caps. Americans tricorns - roundhats - light infantry caps and dream of dreams South Carolina style caps. Definitely militia and militia cavalry sets would be fantastic. Thanks for considering this line. I KNOW many shops, not just hobby shops in my area - New Englabd would carry this line. !
