Dark colours are hard to paint. Cream, beige?

I am not precious about colour, I paint them, but a darker shade would mean I could cheat and paint some figures less and save me time, so OK with brown but if we are doing brown a shade or two darker please.

I vote cream or beige too. Though darker colours are not really a problem for me as I prime my figures with a base coat of white paint first.

The same Dark Brown as the re-releases. They looked so nice in Dark Brown I bought two (2) rounds of ten (10) boxes each = 20 Boxes. As a non-painter I didn't buy any in the light color because they simply didn't look like black africans. Italeri also released them in the Dark Brown color in single boxes so I did buy about 20 of those too. I'm very happy they match well and especially like yours being the soft plastic. Italeris are a much harder plastic.
I think the Unmarried Zulu poses are so much better than the first set with the sculpts poses being closer to the movie Zulu. With this new set I can see the line of Zulu's banging their shields and taunting the Brits (measuring the firepower of the Brits with the lives of their warriors). And of course the guy on the hill trying to figure out how to use a rifle. I like the looks of the bonus figures but don't like metals. I hope someday you will release a set of exclusively Zulu Chieftans and Commanders and some specialty poses. Like the movie, I would like to have a whole mountainside with all those Commanders just lined up and waving and watching. I think I'd buy at least 10 of those boxes too. They could make a separate Diorama theme all on their own. Why don't you start a thread for offering Zulu Commanders like your British set and MAC sets? There are still so many more great looking Zulus yet to be done. So many beautiful costumes/uniforms not yet touched on.
So, yes, Dark Brown please so I can keep on building up my Zulu Army with HaT's latest great set.

Another vote for chocolate brown, it's a good colour for Zulus. I think there are too many tan or cream figures out there. Thank you.
Santi.

Should always be grey or tan, better for painting - not these red or blues or dark colours

A medium to dark Brown, it would allow for quick painting techniques...

Tan to match the old sets of Zulus if possible. Of course, as long as we get them soon, who cares.

Is it a great expense to produce a set in several colours? Why not give us the choice, as either option will put some people off buying the set.
