Dear Hat,
Is there any news about the progress of the Prussian Landwehr and its expected date of its issue?
Best wishes for Easter.

Now size testing Landwehr. From the previous forum, enthusiasts wanted to match this set with the Nap. Prussians.

Please note that making the Landwehr figures match the Prussian infantry does not just mean making them the same height since they are wearing different sized headwear.
That Landwehr figure is not a good match for the infantry figure beside it, it's too tall and the body proportions are much larger. It looks like an Italeri giant.
The infantry figure is wearing a taller shako so should stand taller. the Landwehr schirmutz with wire stiffeners should come about half way to the top of the shako, and without the stiffeners even lower.
If you scale the Landwehr figure down so that the eyes are the same height as the eyes of the infantry figure then I think the body proportions will be exactly right too.
I have to say that I think it's great that you give us the opportunity to make comments like this BEFORE you make the sets. That is an awesome level of service.
Many thanks.
Graeme.

Correct: This Landwehr sample appears to be too big and needs to be sized down.

Sizing should put the eyes of both figures at about the same height, then the difference in headgear size will be in proportion.

Hi Mr Admin,
Just to confirm what everyone is saying the measurement should be taken from the sole of the foot to the eye and the Prussian Landwehr are clearly too big, when the size is corrected body proportions and size of musket etc should also be comparable in size.

Dear all, It seems that we are accurate experts in model soldiers details ! Our various suggestions are really effective for the improvement of the final product. Unfortunatly many manufacturers, not intersted in the suggestions of the final customers, run the real risk of making little marketable products . We have to praise the possibility we are offered to express our opinions, by many producers, who understood that this results in successful kits.
