Hi,
With the recent arrival of Prussian Landwehr in sizeable numbers, I'm running out of storage space. Currently I have the collection housed in 104 cardboard filing drawers as shown in the photos (simply not enough). Each drawer can house approximately 160 foot figures or 60 mounted. My new Landwehr Regiments are queuing up on serving trays and box lids, and there are another 6 Regiments in the pipeline.
It appears these filing systems are now obsolete and hard to find. Does anyone have any alternative solutions or know where I can source similar drawers that aren't decorated with flowers or cartoon woodland scenes ?

Where to store your figures is one of the hardest decisions to make I started by buying the plastic boxes that are meant to to store paper documents in but I soon out grew them. Then I managed to source some strong cardboard boxes from work which were used to ship parts from mainland Europe to the UK now the part has become obsolete & I have nearly run out of boxes I am having the same problem as your self. Non of this helps you but maybe you could try car boot sales or similar you may find something there.

Keep an eye on your local newspaper classifieds for any liquidation sales involving office equpment. you might find some of your filing drawers at a bargain price.

I use the boxes laptop computer's come in. The local school has a ton of them at the start of each school year. Another option is pizza boxes, but unused. You don't want the grease or crumbs of a used one. Mice in the war games room is not a good thing. For mounted troops I use the "flats" boxes that pop cans come in, also cider cans. I cut the sides of one and invert it on an uncut one. They're tall enough for mounted troops including guidon carriers and men with raised swords.
