Okay, one more of the group! Erwin und Friedrich quietly sneak away in the back, realising they don't stand a chance against this battle hardened Frenchmen ;-)

Not my scale but these look really great I like the slight variations in uniform as well adds to the overall look of a fighting unit. My favourite figure is the NCO now that's what you call a moustache.

Many of the moustaches are a bit overdone but they work.. ;-) he has what we call in dutch literally translated a moustache-beard, the moustache grows further into the side burns..Which was very much the fashion of the time.

Beautiful figures! I'm very jealous of that Chasseurs as I don't have any box of them! This firing soldiers in the backgroud are painted in another "style" or just need wash to finish?

And yes they still need a lot of steps to go trough ( not only the wash)! You will see them later once they are done ;-)

I mixed the blue for nearly every figure manualy so it looks “Unique” so it is really time consuming, also i dont wash the whole figure at once but for different parts I have different washes, so it goes really slow!.. haha! The Chasseurs will be re-stocked so hang in there ;-)

Great paint job Stan...see Prussians lurking in the back as well. French light infantry, Prussian line, Wurttemburg and Bavarian line sort of a HaT 1/32 Napoleonic golden age. Lets hope the new Austrians are a continuation of these truly great sets. Still hoping French line in campaign/great coats makes it to production one day. Just too lazy to do that many conversions!

Stan have you got a trick for keeping paint on the base? Mine keeps peeling off around the edges.

So do I! I also hope some with out great coat but also French line Regulars in greatcoat would be great and fun to paint! Indeed turning the Elites into good regulars would be a tough job. Hard to cut a way the crossbelts and make it look nice.

Stan have you got a trick for keeping paint on the base? Mine keeps peeling off around the edges. These are not based yet, normally (what will happen to these) I glue them on MDF/hardboard bases. Then I flock them, in other words base them, add sand, paint them, add grass..Thats the best way to avoid it. If you just want to paint the base I honestly would not know how to avoid the paint from snipping off. As you can see with these Chasseurs the samen happens, the Prussians in the back are based and they dont suffert the same result.

Haha true I would not consider myself lazy...Yet to make them look good for Fusiliers would be a bridge to far for me! I know FISH, once on this forum did it!

Conversions are very much time consuming but gives nice effects and can improve figures! Where to find this photos of FISH conversion? On this forum or on that old HaT 1/32 Blog?

I believe it is on the old hat blog. You might be able to check the forum on treefrog treasures but it may be hard to find! I wish I had pictures somewhere...although i found some of his other conversions: conte mexicans, conte ww2 GIs and hat elites converted to Russian line! I also find myself going straight to conversion work instead of painting troops already in the correct uniform so it takes me so much longer to complete armies!

I already have some units converted but still unpainted! Thank you for posting photos of Russians. I will take a look at Treefrog Treasures and maybe will find this French Line.
