Sorry to resurrect this old thread! Would it be possible to have an AWI thread "sticky" with the master pics, to have a central discussion thread for future reference?

I love this era and have started a 6mm project but I would still collect them in 1/72, I just would not be able to resist. Although If I am to collect them I may need to look at the SYW Prussians and hope they will also be available when the time comes.

As long as possible... sometimes takes a while to spot the project, decide how many we need and then gather the hobby funds!

My preference would be helmets with packs on. I think they would look better separate, but I've never been bothered by earlier sets with them molded on.

Austrians this time, but Hungarians are much needed also!

I would agree about losing the soldier at attention, but I would personally replace him with another soldier advancing with an upright musket.

Lots of interesting sets listed but my top ones would be:
Nap Austrians AWI sets

Very nice! As long as I can make units in helmets I'm in. Personal preference for me would be MAC format as it will allow me to add commands to older Austrian sets.

These look amazing! I would love to start a 1/72 AWI project. The AWI is one of my favourite eras yet I haven't a single miniature for this era. I think this is probably because of the difficulty of collecting AWI in 1/72.
