Here are some photographs of a Russian Militia artillery battery conversion I have recently completed using spare Hat Russian Militia heads, Austrian artillery crew, Russian artillery pieces, and a small amount of green stuff. Richard Adams

Dear Richard,
Superb! Conversions are a great part of the enjoyment, I reckon, and I always like to see the clever conversions of others; like yours. Not only that but the figures are painted beautifully and present as quite excellent units.
Thanks for submitting it so that we may enjoy your fine conversions, painting and basing.
Regards, James

I love militia artillery conversions of all kinds though I donβt know how prevalent they were in real life since artillery means organization of some level and militia are at the core, ad hoc organizations. Still, these Russian militia figures are fast becoming one of my favorites not in the least because of these fabulous contributions here πππ

Greetings
I'm glad that you all like my Russian militia artillery conversions, it's something I've been doing for quite some time, although not at this scale. I hope they will inspire folks to give it a try.

Dear Richard,
Thank you for contributing these (and thanks for posting Hsat). More wonderful photos of your beaut conversions and painting. I am particularly impressed that your painting stands up to such close-ups; mine certainly does not!
Your limb removal and replacement has been done with surgeon-like precision.
Perhaps seeing these lovely figures, presented so well will encourage Hat to push them up the queue of restocks?!! (Hint, hint)
Regards, James

Some really great conversions. I'm not usually fond of the style - but as I said before, these are some of my favorite figures. They're just full of personality. As the saying goes, "Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery." Your conversion is a great idea and makes me want a re-issue so I can flatter you.
