Set 9324 Prussian Landwehr Action. I can still remember as a kid how I looked forward to Airfix's Prussian troops and then to be immeasurably disappointed when the troops turned out to be nothing like I expected Prussian Infantry to be. Only later did I learn of militia and Landwehr troops and the history behind them. Kudos to the Airfix designer for something different though I wonder how many kids were disappointed. Dave Morris, UK Rob Tung, USA Dirk Donvil, Belgium Jean-Jacques Birault, France. Painted as Opolchéninié of Moscow

Day 23, set 8023 Carthaginian War Elephants. We had a lot of problems with this one. The master figure at 7x was huge and unwieldy. This was our first experience making such a big object. During molding when an object is too big, the outside tends to cool quicker than the inside leaking to sink marks in the plastic. We should have molded this in two parts, which we did with our later elephant sets. Some of these are from DBA armies: Jesus Miguel Elvira, Spain Darrell Imbert, UK Rafael Oscar Moccia, Argentina The Elephant with his enemies (1xEl) Philippe Catel, France Guido Quaranta, Argentina

Countdown 20. Set 8220. This is part of the 1808-1812 French Light Infantry series. There are 3 sets of Chasseurs (marching, action and command), a set of Voltigeurs (lights) and this set of Carabiners (heavies). There should be something coming up to finish this series. This contribution appears to have been lost or misposted, it's from Uwe Wild. "Here are three pics from your French Light Carabiniers. The green ones are Carabiniers from the 1st Italian light infantry 1809 while the blue are Voltigeurs (!) of the Isenburg regiment which fought at Capri 1808 and in Spain." Uwe Wild, Germany

Day 7, Set 8107 French Field Forge, one of our French wagon series and the most versatile to convert. The French had not only two-wheeled field-forges, but smaller ones too. This conversion is of the 4-wheeled one into the smaller version. By Ingo, Germany A little diorama about the French field forge, with several reference and conversion. By C. Berta, France Steve Catterson, Scotland I've completed the field forge with some small details, and I've set it as a Dragoon's forge, and I've skipped the front trail and substituted it with a central pod. The front trunk is open on the ground. By Francesco Messori, The Netherlands Offering support and uniform advice

Day 6, set 8106 French Battery Wagon converted to American Civil War Battery Wagon. This appears to be a lost contribution: Here are a few pics of some American Civil War Battery Supply Wagons I painted up recently for the wargames table. The wagon is a converted Napoleonic French Wagon from HaT set 8106. The front wheels have gone and the ladder has been inverted to form a forage rack. I have seen photos of such wagons with unit identification writing on them but this is beyond my moderate skill as a painter to represent in any worthwhile form. It is on the large side for representing an ACW wagon of this type but went with it anyway - other options for conversion are the smaller Hat 8103 & 8104 Napoleonic Ambulance sets. The horses, limbers and figures are a mix of Italeri and Imex. By R. Mitchell, UK. Some even became sculptors for us!

Day 4, another medley because too many to choose from! Set 8004, ACW Zouaves converted to French Foreign Legion by Duncan, Berlin Set 9304 French Light Infantry Chasseurs converted to French line infantrymen officer - it was quite a difficult one: a lot of changes as you can see comparing the original figure and converted one. The most difficult one was to cut off the rifle and cross belts on the chest and then to sculpt a normal uniform instead. Also - top-boots instead of boots with gaiters by Vladimir Iljin, Russia Set 32004 Punic Wars Balearic Slinger Set 8004, ACW Zouaves converted to Late Louisiana Tiger zouaves: I use Hat zouaves with news heads in replicated resin Italeri's Zouaves heads by Marco Zappa, Italy You guys were there all along, despite everything you are still here.
