Thank you for sharing the pictures. The standing firing pose seems to have a strap for the pack but no pack (or anything else) attached to it. Yes that is right rahway! I just checked out the masters and saw that it indeed should have the pack/havresac there. I think it is just a thing in the process that needs to be corrected. The prototypes are 3d printed so there probably will be some changes ''tweaking'' before they go into production. Stan

I usually stick to 18th-19th century conflicts. Some generic AWI cavalry with maybe different head options such as the tarleton helmets and dragoon helmets worn by continental cavalry and even more AWI infantry figures following the marching-action-command format would be great to have as well. In napoleonics, pre-bardin french (I believe you guys had masters somewhere), peninsular war british, and early austrians or prussians, mamlukes as well as more napoleonic cavalry would be something I would be interested in. Regardless I would support whatever HAT produces. Can't wait for the restocks as I missed out on the 7YW prussians when they first came out. Glad Hat 1/32 is coming back! If I could only have one vote, it would definitely be 1/32 French Pre Bardin Line Fusiliers! There indeed once were stunning masters with the optic for shako's, Tarleton helmets and bicornes! Count me in for that! Somehow there is no decent set of Line Fusiliers! ACTA has a set of only 4 poses which is in size closer to 1:35 which together with some Airfix (closer to some kind of light infantry) form the majority of my French Line infantry. And then there are the Italeri's which are cool but sold out for quite some time and have very large bicornes. And to end with there are the Ex-Force french..They are quite big and really expensive and hard to make big units of. None of the above mentioned could compete with a set of HaT French Line Infantry, they will be a commercial success for everyone with interest in the Napoleonic era since they are so fundamental in building an army! I have purchased 9 of Hat’s Bavarian infantry sets, 4 Russian infantry, 1 French light (couldn’t get more), and 3 Wurtenburg sets and love them (especially the French lights & bavarians)! I would LOVE even more to have an army of Hat Austrian shako & helmet infantry and grenadiers (and more French light & line infantry) to have them fight them against soon!

Hi
I'm very interested in 1/32 figures for skirmish gaming. French & Indian War and AWI are interesting periods for this sort of gaming.

Yes please.
I already have lots of your sets in 1/32. The Prussian 7YW are great. I use these as Hessians for Revolutionary War. I have a huge collection of figures for this period - many are in plastic and metal from other manufacturers (you may already be aware, but unfortunately a popular specialist supplier of 54mm metal figures in this period is no longer trading), but I would like to see more in plastic including:
British infantry in short jacket and folded down hat Light infantry - British and Patriot Highland infantry in kilt or trousers Woodland Native Americans - I know there are already some good sets available, but variety is the key so one can never have too many! Legion cavalry and infantry. Command figures - generals and other officers, musicians and standard bearers for any troops in this period.
A lot I know but a very rich historical period and in my opinion easier to cover than Napoleonics which is absolutely vast.
Other periods sets that would be good include:
Heavy weapons and other support figures for Vietnam for US and NVA/Vietcong - i.e. HMGs, Mortars, recoilless rifles etc.
Ancient Hoplites - (generic, Athenian, Spartan and Theban types) I would probably buy loads of these, Macedonians and Persians - I know another manufacturer does these in 60mm, but many feel these are too big and expensive. I am pretty sure these would sell by the bucket load.

I had a game recently using 40mm Napoleonic figures and they felt and looked great. I could see myself using this scale if it were readily available.
I have 1/32 scale armies for ACW and WW2 Pacific and I find the figures slightly too big in that each figure commands/requires slightly too much space and you need to produce special scenery for your wargames. Just a though...

Of course. I have all the napoleonic line, missing only the Bavarian Command which seems very hard to get. Even then I think you could add mounted officers (with horse included) and some Cavalry and Artillery.

Recenlty I'm assembling a big 1:32 scale Napoleonic army for skirmish battle with my son so I'll only speak about this period
I searched between all the plastic production available and i found some big lacks: First of all, most part of napoleonic production consist in ''British'' or ''French'' troops, then Prussian got a decent infantry choice, and at the end we got russian and austrian.. especially Austrian suffers a big lack of choice (only infantry available are produced by Italeri) British and French are already well covered at my opinion, and there is no particular need of new sets.. should be nice to see again in production al the wonderful cavalry and artillery sets offered by Italeri and no longer in production THe points I think really need some new production are:
- Prussians: they absolutely need some cavalry and artillery set (or at least artillery crews.. i got many ''Armies in Plastic'' napoleonic guns without crew) The only cavalries actually available are: the old, rare and fragile 'Timpo Solid' prussian cavalry, and the AiP 'British Crimean Hussars' reissued to be 'Prussian Cavalry' in various colors also grenadiers should be fine but we can easy fill them with Wruttemberg ones as I do
- Russians: same as prussians, the Zar troops need artillery with crew, and, due to the great russian tradition in cavalry warfare, some Cavalry set (hussars, cossacks, ulhans, dragoons, cuirassiers.. russian got a lot of cavalry but noone actually produce any russian cavalry set in plastic) - Austrian: the only austrian plastic production actually are: 2 different infantry sets by Italeri (with mixed poses helmets/shakos/grenadiers) and the chintoys officer set. We absolutely need more infantry sets to make a large army (ATM only bavarian and wruttemberg can do the job, and i'm planning to use the CtA belgian infantry with shakos to enlarge my austrian army) Also there's a lack of Artillery and crews and obviously, Cavalry, (but cavalry wasn't a so important part of Austrian Army.. also in 1:72 all you can find is a couple of Hat sets: Chevauxlegers and Cuirassiers and an horrible Uhlans set by Mars.. actually i fill the gap with Hat's French cuirassiers)
- Peninsular Campaing: ok noone produce spanish or portuguese and only AiP started to pack some of their poses as 'Portuguese with shakos' and 'Spanish Infantry'.. but I don't think peninsular campaing is so important to forgive the previous lacks in the main napoleonic Armies
so this is what is mainly needed for my opinion:
Russian - Prussian : artillery crews and cavalry Austrian: infantry and artillery crews
These are the biggest gaps in napoleonic 1:32 actual production

I would like to add to what Alvinhaze said; there is no decent correct set of French infantry(now the ex-force is there but they don't blend with all the figures that are already out there and they come in small numbers per box and again are according to the 1812-1815 Bardin uniform, also the focus of ex-force will be on the 100 days campaign which I think is HaT's chance since HaT already started a great variety of sets that cover a larger period of the Napoleonic era), except for the death stock Italeri there is no pre-Bardin 1812 French infantry, most figures are elites an in parade uniform. I still hope to see that HaT revives the masters that they once made for 1/32 french Infantry with a bicorne and shako option! Same goes for the Austrian Napoleonic masters and finally, I hope that one day there will be a restock of the French Light infantry 1/32...I have messaged HaT about this many times but they seem very hesitant...There is no trace from any of these 3 sets, only the 4th set, the command box is obviously still available! These 3 sets offer a wide range of possibilities which I think is the way to go! Keep up the good work HaT and I hope also the 1/32 work! 1/32 Austrian Nappies would be a great addition, but you'll need some pre-1812 french line to face them (with restocks of the french light infantry please). I believe only AIP has ever made pre-1812 French line but I believe if HAT came out with their own, they would be in a class of their own in terms of quality and price. British infantry (centre companies or with a mix of flank) with the option of stovepipe and belgic shakos I think would also do well and British Rifles to match the French lights. Tbh I would even love to see a set of French foot dragoons down the road or a revisit of the French dragoons (the earlier set of dragoons was rather small in scale but it had lots of conversion potential to other units and eras) but thats my own unpopular opinion LOL. Imho, attention should also be on sets that offer versatility (i.e. French cuirassiers and carabiniers have a similar uniform and would only need additional heads for conversions).

My own take is that while HaT should take on series like the 1/32 Austrians, eventually, I would like to see them produce their own sets of 1/32 French and British Line both pre- and post-1812. These are major antagonists of the era and, as I've said elsewhere many times, like WW2 Germans (how MANY sets do we really need? More, apparently) it is difficult to do Napoleonic battles without them - particularly the French.
Now, I know AIP does their version and many like them - others buy them because there just isn't anything else out there at a reasonable price. We do have other companies producing superbly (if a bit formally) sculpted figures - however most of them are priced beyond budget for most collectors/gamers to create an Army using just them, and often the scale is off. I fully support the idea of HaT producing their Peninsular Brits in 1/32 scale with, perhaps spare heads with the Belgian Shakos for conversions as well as a really well-sculpted series of French Line to go with their already superb offerings. Of course, eventually we might see artillery and cavalry sets, but knowing the time, effort and expense in producing just one set of figures, I believe Infantry is the place to start. JMO

Is just hope the carabiniers will be included to, otherwise it would be odd! I really need Carabiniers :-) 1/32 Napoleonic Austrians in MAC would be amazing! If there will be pre Bardin French Line I will go crazy! After years of waiting and hoping after the masters many years ago...! This makes me excited! I just hope it will come true! :-)

Also, I think the re-issue of the 1/32 French light Carabiniers, Chasseurs and Voltigeurs will provide a nice cash flow :-)
