These are 3d printed size tests...... They do look a little large to me though so could come down a tad in size overall... revell are rather skinny though so it may not be a good comparison...

They look too big. Could you use the Revell SYW Austrian Infantry to compare size. I would like to be able to mix and match your figures with those previously released by Revell since I need Musketeer Muscians and would also like a little more variety in my Firing Line. In your last photograph comparing with your own SYW Prussian Musketeer the figure is obviously too big, probably coming in at 27 to 28 mm tall.
Best regards,
Malcolm

They could bear being a tad smaller, but they will never match the heft of the Revell figures because the Hat ones are simply better proportioned.
They are seductively stunning. I know that sounds geekily sad, but they are gorgeous. Will buy.
Will buy as Austrians, but I will also be looking at conversion possibilities and Imaginations.
Well done, HaT

They do look obviously 2 mm too big and broad especially in comparison to your own prussians. Sorry, they don´t fit together. They doesn´t have to fit to Revells quite own figure-style, but their heads should have "normal"-sized - it seem that there also differencies in head-sizes between your own grenadiers and musketeers.

Your prussians were already too tall - after PSR 25,5 mm = 1,84 m or 6´15´´. The average height of male humans in the 17th century was around 1,63 m or 5´4´´. Please no t even taller giants, please find a compromise that the austrians will fit to the prussians - eventually 24 or 24.5 mm without hat.

I meant the 18th century and not the 17th - that was a mistake.
It would been very helpful for all of us, if you will add to your figures+presentations a mm-scale in the future So we can see much better how tall will been the figures.

Although they look great, they are far too big.
Your Prussians (as well as Revell and Zvezda's) are too big really, and although we want the Austrians to obviously be compatible with all SYW sets, it would be better to have these Austrians either the same size as all those Prussians (which unfortunately means they cannot be mixed with any other range), or slightly smaller then the Prussians (as the Revell Austrians are). Those Revell Austrians fit in with other ranges as well as all the SYW Prussians. So, in my opinion at least, the worst thing that could happen is for these to be even bigger than the Prussians!
I'm sure you are already aware, but PSR do have size comparisons on all the SYW sets to give a better visual aid.
However, the figures themselves look very good and I'm really pleased to see some consultation in sizes before any final decisions are made.

In those pics they look right to me, or should I say as right as they can be compared with the other figures..

Oh what Amazing set will be...I just think that I will replace the Revell heads to have a uniform army. I think the high is not a problem.

The second batch of pics makes the size look better than the marching figures pic did. However, I have a feeling these are just a fraction too big-and the marching figure just IS too big. But, still look like great figures!

When Revell first released their SYW line I only bought one box of the Austrian Infantry set because although Historically accurate and Anatomically correct they were giants compared to other Eighteenth Century sets. When I first heard that Hat were going to do a SYW line starting with Prussians I managed to buy a further three sets of the Revell Austrians. These figures are great but have a couple of drawbacks. The first is the lack of a Muscian for the Musketeer Regiments, the second that all the Musketeers are in Firing Line while all of the Grenadiers are either Marching or Advancing and finally the ratio of Musketeers to Grenadiers is about 1:1. So for me when Hat finally release their figures I can form Grenadier Firing Lines and Musketeers that are Advancing and Marching. However, I want the two sets to be compatible in all respects and so would ask Hat to consider reducing their figures by about 10%.
Best regards,
Malcolm

Great looking figures! Not a clunker in the bunch! Although the slight height difference between the HaT Prussians and the HaT Austrians doesn't bother me all that much (When painted up, put on the tabletop, and viewed from two to three feet away, the difference will disappear.) it would be better if they did match up with the opposition! So ... would it be too much to hope for to be able to recruit these stout-hearted fellows before the end of the year? Perhaps early in 2019?!
