They look very very good, they remind me of Perry figures, if they come out like this on the sprue, they will probably be the best ACW figures in our scale.

These will raise the bar for HAT.
I have a hankering to re fight Antietam and these guys would be perfect. The old Airfix are already in plastic heaven and some others would be joining them when these are available.
Excellent.

I agree with Alan, if they are released they'll be the best ACW figures ever released in this scale. Just wish we didn't have to wait so long, I guess we're talking about sometime in 2019 for these..

These look excellent ! Would still like to see some command in shell jackets - Which was the most common CSA Jacket.

I will "retire" my old Airfix ACW infantry with honors (still waiting for decent arty to replace them) when these come out, I think... Right along with my Airfix highlanders.

I agree with Alan - they look excellent. I reenact as a Union corporal so I appreciate a set that finally has the soldiers carrying correctly at the shoulder! Hurrah!

Look like great figures. Only one comment, the trousers in the waist/crutch area look like they are wearing nappies. Something isn't quite right - too bulky??

You have to remember that in the 19th century "Stretch Fibres" did not exist. Because of this the "Cut of the Cloth" had to be more generous (baggy) or the wearer wouldn´t be able to sit down or go down on one knee. Best regards, Malcolm

Best regards, Malcolm You cut the cloth on the "Bias" or 45° to the Warp and Weft.... for the same effect.. this gives much more flexibility and stretch in the cloth where a lot of movement is needed.... and closer fitting clothes as a result should you so desire.... Close fitting Medieval hose for example were cut on the Bias to take advantage of this, so the technnique is very old... I'm not suggesting though that ACW soldiers did this with their trousers...

Now, THOSE look like some of Bobby Lee's boys... (or Joe Johnston's for that matter). "Just when I thought I was out..." LOL

Oh my. Gobsmacking.
Are these 28mm or 1/72?
Thankfully I don't do ACW, or I'd be sorely tempted.
(BTW there's a VERY healthy aftermarket for Airfix ACW packs. On ebay they often sell for £20+.)

Really impressive! Are these 1/72? Althpough I hope there will be separate Union and Confederate sets. Mixing them together is huge con.

I was very excited with the June 28th pictures showing excellent figures with quite a few long frock coats, but in the updated pictures on July 4th most of these had disappeared.
I am not sure what to expect now, but keeping my fingers crossed.

It seemed that people did not want that many frock coats.

I would agree with the comment about the 3 great variants on the frock coated figures, whilst also liking the shell jackets. Nearly all the replies about the question for separate Confederate and Union sets asked for two separate sets rather than one, but the pictures now suggest that this is not on the cards. I will still buy some, but not as many if it is just to be a single generic set rather than two.
