I find the Napoleonic era has such a wonderful collection of diverse regiments and uniforms. I would welcome Hat to produce some of the unique troops such as:
Regiment Albanaise (Balkans) and the Regiment Greek Light Infantry

It'd also be nice to have some Ottomans, so my Russians would have someone to fight besides the French. But yeah, not likely.

Well... as great as these figures would be, I would be highly upset if Greek and Greek Albanians were released before Pommeranian Piccolo Players or Bavarian Bassoonists, much less Viennese Violinists... After all, the masters for those were shown on the old forum almost fifteen years ago!

Don't leave out the Gallic Glockenspielists. Or the Tarantino Tuba-players.

Don't leave out the Gallic Glockenspielists. Or the Tarantino Tuba-players. So true. But at the same time there must be support elements to really engage the collectors. Just like an infantry set cannot stand by itself without supporting artillery and cavalry to make a complete army you need certain essential sets to go with the PPPs. I suggest at a minimum you have to have as set of camp followers and tavern wenches (the PPPs at least went nowhere without their Tantalizing Tavern Tarts). Then there needs to be their beer and wine wagons with suitable accessories such as assorted kegs, flasks, bottles, and sides of meat and strings of sausages. The list is endless.

We do, of course, need our support elements: This is one of my first figure customizations. Started out as a Der Kriegspieler's general with telescope, and a Viviandiere. Now, if you look at the telescope, it's got a rather wider base, a green color with a red label, and is not touching the general's eye. I did this in the early 70s, and have more experience now, but my eyes were better then!

So who is the poor soldier in drag? A cruel conversion to do to a man.

The figure on foot is the Vivandière, a civilian bringing tasty foodstuffs in her basket. That figure is not customized in any way. You can't expect the general to lead effectively if deprived of food.

Some real eye candy - if the general was sitting less steady on his horse he'd be a ringer for Freiher Felix von Vielentranken, commander of the PPPs during the Leipzig Campaign.
