Dear Administration,
May I post a few pictures of some Austro Hungarian soldiers obtained by modifying and making a new silicon-rubber mould of one soldier of your set 8027?
Thanks. Giovanni

Dear all I've just finished my first Austro Hungarian battalion, Rgt Hiller N° 2, completely made by myself with silicon rubber mould. The only original element is the Hat's officer. The difficult with this resin is the bubbles that forms inside the mould; you therefore have to carefully check the entire figure and gently eliminate them away, which sometimes is very difficult. Now I'm much more experienced than in the beginning, but I can't tell you the number of soldiers that I had to throw away before obtaining a satisfying result.
Now I have to prepare other five Austro Hungarian battalions in order to complete Gen. Bianchi's division.
Thanks a lot for your comments.

Dear Grumble, Thanks a lot for appreciating the work that I've done. Are you also able to make your own moulds? Gio.

Dear All, Before posting my photos, I asked the permission to Hat to do so and they kindely approved. In my opinion in SET 8027, the fundamental soldier that one need, i.e the marching man, results rather thin and in an innatural pose. The same aplly for the man advancing with levelled gun: he hold his arm too foward too close to the bajonet. In previous posts on this site, I expressed several time the need for Hungarian troops to be produced, as they took part in the Napoleonic conflicts always in great number. It seems that finally in the future they will be produced and their quality appears to be very good. Best wishes. Gio.
