Look great! Using the current 'Tophat" Hat figures I used my needle nosed pliers to squish the pompom and mike it look like the sprig of Evergreen on Hungarian infantry

In a separate post is it possible to laser scan a human face and have it as the prototype/masters face?

Should be possible. There's been a fellow at many HMGS conventions who has a scanner, and will 3-d print a figure with your face in whatever scale you'd like.

Those backpacks are carried ridiculously low on the back.
I guess it’s been done to simplify casting but it’s a deal-breaker for me.

Planning to put the sets to the tooling stage... Great to hear, thank you. Since this reply is the same as the one received on the 1/32 Austrian German fusilier sets’ status, it sounds like the Hungarian sets have moved up the production list queue. Great news to all of us looking forward to these great looking, much anticipated and most needed sets! Cheers

Dear All,
As I said in my previous posts, risking of annoying the audience, for the wargamers interested in the Nap campaigns involving the Austrian Empire, this set is really fundamental. It was really a pity that set 8027 had been not conceived with half Germans and half Hungarians in the respective uniforms, as it was for other sets (e.g. 8096 Waterloo Netherlands Militia and Belgian Infantry). Pending the arrival of the new set, I took the decision of making my own rubber mould based on one soldier of Hat duly modified (Adm. forgive me) and I did one battalion (24 men) of Hungarians in resin. The result was not excellent but with a little bit of practice I significantly improved the quality. It's a long process: in order to obtain a good soldier you have to cast at least three of them. This is why I'm very happy to hear from the Adm. that the set has been passed to the tooling stage.
If the Adm. allows me, I can post images of mine resin Hungarians.
Best regards.
Gio.

Dear all, During the Napoleonic period a lot of Hungarian regiments were part of the various Austrian Army Corps that fought the French and their allies. I therefore decided to try myself making my own mold based on a Hat I would appreciate your comments. Gio. Varese.

Planning to put the sets to the tooling stage... Dear Admin. Since the last news about the Austro Hungarians set, in January this year, is there any further development ongoing? Thanks a lot. Gio.

Dear Admin,
Is there anything that I/we can do to encourage the acceleration of the production process? As I did in the past, I'm available to paint sample figures of the new set, when they are available.
Gio.

No we have to wait until one day they will just pop out when you are least expecting them.

count me in to purchase these when they come out. the latest Austrian sets I like very much but they seem to have a lot of flash on them and the bayonets are a bit club-like. I especially love the command set having painted several brigades only to lack flag bearers and sappers. At this point in the hobby it seems to me that filling those gaps is where the most potential business lies. This is why any Hungarian sets (maybe cavalry too?) would be good sellers I should think. As always thank you HAT for creating so many fine sets that have made my attempts to create armies in 1/72 scale possible.
Question for admin: any chance the larger figures will be scaled down and sold at 1/72?
French light infantry command and Wurtemburg jaegers are the items of interest to me.
Cheers, Bessiere

Dear Forum Admin.
Have you got any further news for us humble modellers and wargamers, about the progress of the forthcoming Austro-Hungarians infantry set, dealt with in this thread?
The modellers and wargamers world, as a whole, is waiting with great apprehension and hope.
Gio.
