Spanish Guerrillas started out as a 4 pose mini-set but 15 more poses were added during the double-set craze. It's considered a double hybrid set because both the sculptors and the scales of the masters were different. Here are a few early sketches (by Bart) And some other sketches. From printed available material, the series of sketches were drawn and with the help and knowledge of enthusiasts, a make-up of the set was drawn up and finalized into the set we see today. Here are some painted up figures: The soldiers with the round hat can be used to represent many different militia units (hundreds) in Catalonia and in the whole Spain from South to North. (Uwe Wild) (Andy Gorman) Catalonian guerrillas (Uwe Wild). Voluntarios de Valencia (Uwe Wild). (Andy Gorman) (Peter Styk) Milicia Honrada de la Coruna (Peter Styk). Batallon Legera de la Zaragosa (Peter Styk). (Christiaan Harinck). Conversion (Juan Carlos). Portuguese Ordenanza. The Ordenanza were a home guard of sorts and were called out in times of national peril. (Conrad Kinch). From left to right: Peasant from Central or Southern Spain The perfect monk to motivate the spaniards in the sieges like Zaragozas A guerrilla from many areas in Spain including Catalonia, Aragon or Andalusia (Uwe Wild) Guerrilla and Monk (Christiaan Harinck). At the time (16 years ago), this was quite an ambitious project, fitting many types of figures into one set.

Carlos.

Please take out more boxes of Spaniards and Portuguese from the peninsular war, in action, cavalry, artillery and regular troops, plus the sketches of the guerrillas ... I assure you of great windows ... thank you, Carlos from Spain.

And if you are so kind, take out the figure of Wellignton on horseback and his command, because it seemed incredible that we still cannot buy it, only in metal, if it is not too much to ask, because we need it on horseback, I am ready to transform it ... AND From here in Spain, our two Spanish generals who fought at his side and in the afternoon were the ones who were almost alive: GENERAL ALAVA. And the one of VALENCIAN ORIGIN ... Please. Alava was next to WELLINGTON and at six in the afternoon he was the only one Whole next to Wellington and the wounded Valencian led the fled nassus to victory ... keep that in mind and you will see the results ... thanks.

These are fine figures; the big box format, range of poses and dress. I have put them to several of uses.
