Roman Velites and Hastati by MAnovski productions

I hereby send some pics of the Velites and Hastati. The Velites were skirmishers from the poorer Roman class. They wore helmets with wolves and bear skins and were armed with javelins a shield and gladius. They harrassed the enemy before the battle. The first regular line in the Republican legion were the Hastati. They could pay for their own armour and were armed with a light and heavy pillum, a scutum, a gladius, metal breast and backplate, a helmet and shincap on the left leg.
