Favoured way to set up a napoleonic battalion

I guess for the past forty years I have been old school in the way I set up my plastic napoleonic regiments as 20 figures of the same pose. 1 officer. Two flag bearers and a drummer or bugler. This unfortunately has led me to creating a large box of good figures that do not get used. I just want t to see if old school is out and it is now cool to mix the poses in a battalion.
