The problem with nuance on forum postings.....
I, too, was attempting to be light-hearted so apologies if I inadvertently caused some 'ire-rising'.
Possibly I need to indicate my (alleged) jokes are, well, jokes?
cheers donald
It's all good my friend. My remarks were meant tongue in cheek as well - I had thought to put a winky emoji but thought it might be overboard. Actually, I thought your post was funny. Rather than our pawky jokes, the misunderstandings on both parts are what's really funny.
At any rate & in response to your joke,,,,well-plaid, my friend.
cheers donald

It’s trew, you guys kilt it. I hate puns. That's because I'm homophonic.

I thought you hated punts because you were hydrophobic.

I don't worry about puns - I've been vaccinated against them.

And enough persiflage. Back to the topic.
My Late Romans are, unexpectedly, not far from completion.
I've painted the last of my Tumbling Dice figures & a package from Newline will have a few legionary command figures I need. A pal is gifting me enough of the HaT Heavy infantry to make a final legionary vexillation.
That will give me a total of 36 units....which seems a lot but as they have no opponents, means civil war & 18 units a side. So, two medium sized armies.
I *would* have built a matching Sassinid army from HaT but although the existing figures look very good, I doubt they'll finish the range.

I have started a 2nd Punic Wars project in 1/32 scale and have so far finished a box of Roman Hastati and a box of Spanish allies for my Carthaginian army.

Italeri Hussars to Austrian Hussars using HaT Wurttemburg horses. A new mini-drill from Dremel makes it so much easier to drill holes in the figs bottoms and horses back to connect them tighter.. I finished painting and flagging a corps of 1805 Russians (good thru 1812 I hear) now I cannot find the box in all the others....gah!
