Here I have a hodgepodge of various Napoleonics. Many makes, many conversions and from many different battles over the last few years.

Great figures! I like your paint job and scenery set up. Which company made this Russians from the last photo? They are black Cat Russian Grenadiers 1812. I don't believe the company exists anymore but you might still find these figures here and there :-)

Great figures! I like your paint job and scenery set up. Which company made this Russians from the last photo? Thanks fellas, your kind words mean alot. I'm slowly churning through a few more painting projects. I'm working on converting some Conte Collectible Mexicans into Polish line, before moving onto some more Blackcat conversions to artillerymen and Pavlovsk Grenadiers. Then hopefully paint some Ex Force officers and grenadiers! You can probably find LOTS of blackcat russians on ebay. I found almost 200 of them for around 90$ and around the same time, there were 700 for only $200! I suspect it was the owner trying to clear out his inventory so they won't be that inexpensive most of the time. I use pretty much any company interchangeably (I figure people are all shapes and sizes so it doesn't bother me). I have the Hat Russian command set and they look great next to my Blackcat and Armies in Plastic Russians.

A few more painted figures and terrain. The redoubt is a terrain piece I made from plaster a number of years ago to represent the fleches at Borodino. I cast a smaller one from polyurethane foam but the larger is beyond me. The Russians are a mix of Hat command, blackcat, and AIP. The light infantry is Hat elites in greatcoats, Victrix, AIP Grenadiers are Paragon Scenics Mexicans and Victrix while the sappeur is a conversion from a frontiersman. Imperial Guard Grenadiers are Timpo, Airfix and Victrix The pulled back photo has a few others: A call to arms Belgian and Dutch converted to Poles, Hat Wurtemburg Jagers, CTS/Marx/BMC Mexicans converted to French line, and some A call to Arms French line.

Ex Force Dragoons lead the French line through the hedgerows while the Russians lay in wait... The ruins are converted from the "Desert Oasis" from Classic toy soldiers' Desert Fox playset. Last pic: French holding out in Conte Collectibles' destroyed farmhouse

Wow! Impressive collection of Naps! I never get bored of watching beautifully painted 1/32 figures. Looking at your huge army now I think that I have much to do! Do you have another opponent army for French? Also would love to see some closeups of Poles because I am from Poland and now working on Vistula Legion Poles converting them from Bavarian Infantry and French in Greatcoats heads.

Thanks Quarion, I also have much to do. I only have around 120 painted French and Poles and around 40 painted Russians. I have a couple Barzso British Grenadiers converted to Hungarian Grenadiers but they aren't quite done, a handful of Prussians (also not finished). I am a remarkably slow painter I would also be interested in seeing your Poles! I have a couple pictures to share of the figures I am working on but they are also not quite done. The first group I painted (not pictured), I used thin cardboard to make the shakos square. For the more recent, I've used Green Stuff to shape their shakos. Their uniforms are not 100% correct, but I didn't want to have to make my conversions too intensive, so they are mostly just painted as they are.

Thank you for sharing closeups of Poles, Cole! I like your conversions! Are you using satin varnish over the figures? I'm personally not a big fan of shiny effect. I'm also using cardboard to make square on top of the shakos and then putty. I have only four converted soldiers for now and they are unpainted, will post some pictures later. I'm slowly painter too and not only concentrated on one era. Any tips from experienced painter how to speed up painting process?

I’m not sure I will have room enough to set up like that for a very long time but one can always hope! And I very much look forward to seeing your big set up

I use an Army Painter varnish dip to give them the battlefield look and protect them, then have a spray that takes the shine away. I just haven’t used it yet on those figures because it’s so humid here! What other eras do you do? I have some ww2 (mostly eastern front) and was tempted to get into Ancient Greece but decided I have too many figures already haha

Comparing number of painted soldiers to that unpainted can say that I have too many soldiers too! Several times more than painted ones! I should speed up painting or stop buying more sets! I have mix of many eras, for example some French Zouaves painted from HaT set, Crusader Knights, Teutonic Knights, WW2 Paratroopers but mostly Napoleonic French and Austrian Infantry and now I would like to concentrate on that era to paint up units from most factions from this war (don't have any Russians, Prussians and only one Scots Greys done).

Big boys looking mighty fine Cole! New members bringing all kinds of goodies to the forum lately. I have to admit I'm a tad jealous of having 54 mm of detail to play with. It gets rather tedious at 24mm at times especially when you have to invent your way through. Nice pictures too. Thumbs up!

Thanks bessiere, I painted some smaller figures before (some old dungeons and dragons metals so not sure on scale but probably around 24-28mm) and they were quite taxing on the eyes haha. I envy the figures available to smaller scales, however. And the need for less space to set up a big battle
