Hi Mateus, I am very impressed by your efforts with the painting of your 1/72 figures and have had a look at your blog. I am on the verge of doing the Victrix 28mm British Foot Artillery so was particularly interested in your BFA battery. Very nice indeed! Keep up the good work Roger

Very fine looking troops Mateus, I like the muted shade of brown on the jackets. I have to agree with Steve, the faces are nicely done. The bases look good too. And I do like the look of soldiers advancing with the bayonet like that.

Steve, it takes me a week to paint a unit such as this. I paint for a couple hours every evening.

Very impressive! I'm looking for another project beyond the Waterloo Armies, and when I see troops like these I suspect Austrian Naps may well be the next project. Best regards, Kay

I have a question concerning the flag staff.
Have you painted it as having spirals of red, yellow, white? Or are they more like chevrons? The pitch doesn't seem quite sharp enough for the colors to connect as spirals, but maybe I'm not looking at it right.
Thanks,
David

Very smart looking figures Mateus. I had come across your blog before and seen your excellent work. Did Austrian grenzer units carry flags? Maybe I'm confusing them with Landwehr I'm not sure. Anyhow very fine ppainting, you must have the patience of a saint to do all those stripes on the trousers!

According to Blunders on the Danube (a great blog for references on uniforms, and Peter is very helpful) "Grenz regiments were issued 2 yellow Ordinarfahnen, decreased to one in 2008 [here I assume he meant 1808]". blundersonthedanube.blogspot.com/2011/02/grenz-infanterie.htmlCheers.
