Dear Hat,
What happened to the three beautiful sets n° 8294, 8296, 8927, all concerning Nap infantry? They seemed to be ready for production not needing further refinements. Then Waterloo 1815 issued its own sets on the same subject and the process of your production had been interrupted. To me the two kind of products of the two manufacturers are rathrer different both in terms of poses, quality, and subjects. I think therefore that there is still a wide space on the market for your products.
Regards. Giovanni.

I had almost forgotten about Hat's Nap French Infantry sets after seeing the test sprues I just assumed they would be here soon, although I have now bought a lot of the Waterloo 1815 French Infantry, I am still holding out for Hat sets to finally replace all those poor and historically inaccurate Esci and Italeri figures.
Come Hat how are they progressing?

Dear all, am I the only one interested in these three sets? Thanks for your comments. Giovanni.

I would be interested in these sets, I'd also be interested in a resurrection of the 1815 command set if the masters survived.

My problem with the Waterloo 1815 sets is the incompatibility of the poses for the fusiliers and the elites, which make it impossible to assemble a coherent looking battalion. The test sprues for the HaT post 1812 French Infantry have this problem solved, and I for one would love to see them come out. I've suggested in the past that command figures would be a suitable crowd funding project, possibly in conjunction with the existing sprues.

Dear Steve W, Graeme and Brian, I thank you for your endorsement. I would be grateful if Hat could express its opinion on such a question. Giovanni.

Dear all, am I the only one interested in these three sets? Thanks for your comments. Giovanni. Can you ever have too many Napoleonic French infantry? I'd say "No!".....especially if they are the historically correct Bardin regulation ones that HaT promised.
Put me down as a supporter.
Graeme makes a great point about the gyrating "elites" in the Waterloo1815 set. I didn't buy a single box of any of their French infantry.

I'm looking forward to any Napoleonic releases, re-issues included. If they make them, I will buy them.

I too would like to obtain these sets no 2 priority after getting my hands on the Austrian restocks, like the man said you can never have too much of good French infantry or Austrian infantry come to that.

I had to look these up!
8296 pre-1812 French Line Inf. Marching (link) 8297 pre-1812 French Line Inf. Command (link) 8294 1815 French Line Infantry Marching (link)
There cannot be a single Napoleonic figure more useful, or required in such great quantities, as the marching French line infantryman!
I note that the published test shots (of the sprues) for all 3 sets were dated 20 March 2016.
Please add my vote. I would dearly love to see all three sets.
I would also love to see:
Re-released, 8219 French Light Infantry Chasseurs (Marching) (link), as these seem to have been unavailable for some years now, whereas the elites always seem available; and, 8252 1808-1812 French Light Infantry Chasseurs Command (link)
AND
Re-mastered, the lost 1815 French Line Infantry Command - As the initial investment in this product seems lost, could this set now be the subject of crowd-funding?
Just add paint, glue and Austrians, Russians, Prussian or Brits to suit.

Except that soldiers did not march with the right hand reaching over the chest to hold the musket.

Dear Edwardian, I think what I saw on the other session is simply great. A question arises consequently: why Hat Adm. make us suffer by showing something already existing but not yet introduced on the market?

Last I heard the 4 French Infantry sets 8296 Pre-1812 Napoleonic French Marching, 8297 Pre-1812 Napoleonic French Command, 8234 1815 Napoleonic French Marching and 8294 Nap French with Greatcoats Marching were being prepared for E29, which would make perfect sense as we have seen test sprues and painted examples, these sets are very much needed for any Napoleonic Battle.
It would be nice if Hat Admin could confirm this is still the plan and they are indeed true 1/72 scale (23-24mm).

My grandfather used to say, "If you haven't anything worth saying best be quiet." I guess that could be taken to mean if one doesn't have anything new or meaningful to add to the conversation don't say anything. My grandfather was a man of few words - but when he did say something it was usually worth listening to - either wise or funny.
I think, with good reason, that HaT tries to follow that. With the lines of communication being what they are, as frustrating as it can be, the truth of the matter is that HaT is silent often because there IS nothing new to report. How many of us remember the pre-internet days when we relied on mailing lists or (for me) having to call a long-distant retailer to find out the latest on new offerings? I think we've become spoiled (and I include myself in that "we") - and I KNOW it was HaT who helped spoil us with the forum and their site; the first I remember being hosted by a company to inform and get feedback from its customers. HaT might have had its site up earlier, I don't know, I found their site after I discovered HaT's.
Perhaps the solution might be for HaT to host a page where they list all the past, present, and future sets with updates as to the progress on each set. Wait a minute! They HAVE that! The only improvement on that might be for them to update it every week (probably not enough - how about daily?) - The entire list updated:
UPDATES: 11/01/17 11/01/17 11/02/17 11/02/17 8201 No news Nothing Nope Zilch 8202 No news Nothing Nope Uh uh 8203 Sold out Still sold out Forget About it Sorry 8204 Mold lost Still missing Looking Forget about it...
But it our friends at HaT did that they wouldn't have time to MAKE more figures; that would cause more angst. Kind of a vicious cycle - ain't it?
All kidding aside, I would love to have more news myself - but I realize I've been dealing with HaT some twenty years (at least) and over that time they have proven themselves to not only be sensitive to the needs and wants of their consumers, but also dedicated to providing quality product at a reasonable price. There have been some bumps in the road recently - already discussed. They have earned my trust, but we have to realize there is only so much humans can reasonably do.
