Dear Andrè,
I've otained the 8th Polish lancers by modifying the Esci/Italeri set, and I think the result I acceptable. You can see it on Benno's Figure sites: (http://bennosfiguresforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=19820&p=215323&hilit=8th+polish+lancers#p215323)
Regards Giovanni.

Hi Giovanni.....they look great. Just wondering, what modifications did you have to make to the Esci Polish Lancers set?
Regards, Andrew

Dear Andrew
I choose the uniform worn by this regiment during the 1813 campaign. The first modification consists of trimming away the fringed epaulette and the aiguillette from the left shoulder. Then you have to lenghten the lance wood staff: this demands patience, as you have to cut the lance from the sprue, leaving attached a segment of the sprue itself, which has to be made thin as the lance wood sttaff, with a precision cutter. The officer is made by using the head of a Zvezda's Polish Lancers. The trumpeter's uniform was painted according to images that I've found on a web site dedicated to the Grand Duchy of Warsaw uniforms.
I hope to have answered you question.
Best greetings . Giovanni.
