Well they have my 100% support.....I just think a lot of people have Sassanid Delay Fatigue (SDF). We got all enthused and painted up our infantry....then they gathered dust. We got all enthused again when the cavalry arrived....and now they are starting to gather dust. How long will we need to wait for these magnificent elephants and the cataphracts? Who knows...
Yes, the Pyrrhic Elephants look fantastic. Will work for other successor armies as well, and I'm sure more than a few will be feature on Zama battlefields.
Regards, Andrew

All Would give my support to the Sassanid elephants - as long as the figures are not the same size and/or sculptor as the recent cavalry
I purchased 6 boxes of cavalry and have only used the horses along with converted riders from other suppliers

I'm in for a few boxes. Already have more elephants than I can use, but can't resist!

Although the elephants with tusks are obviously more imposing, with the Indian variety the females of the species do not have tusks. So could somebody inform me: were only Male elephants used in battle or was it the case that 2500 years ago all indian elephants had tusks?
Best regards,
Malcolm

Best regards, Malcolm It is believed only male elephants were used in battle because female elephants would run from male elephants. Female elephants were used for logistical tasks.

Wouldn't mind a couple of boxes myself. Thought HaT was going to make these anyway? I guess it doesn't hurt reminding them we still want them.

Well i'm waiting for both of the elephant-sets since i've seen them, but that's very long ago... ...
I hope any time they will become true between all the other projects of HäT.

Taking another look at the elephants that are now available on the market and the number of models needed for an army, I would think that the Zvedza set supplies a very good Phyrric elephant while the Hat Macedonian or Indiand Elephants can be easily converted by simply adding a tower and using appropriate crew figures. The two proposed sets are nice but if we have to wait for a number of years then I don´t see the point. I converted two of the Britains baby elephants for use with my armies and found another useful animal of the correct size in a bag of plastic wild animals in a kids toy shop.
Best regards,
Malcolm

Well you have a point, I'm gonna 3D print this elephant, and the accessories separate and use them on the Zvezda elephants, I think HaTs elephants are gonna take a while..

Final results of the 3D printing, perhaps HaT is interested in producing this?
