One of the good things with blogs is that it may be a way to challenge yourself. I've decided to paint a musician every month and show some pictures of the result on my blog. This challenge is already 2 years old, and it doesn't work every month (I don't paint anything during the summer, too many other things to do), but I usually come back to it, the idea would be to have a complete orchestra at the end of the year.
This month's musician is a Gaul, a Carnyx player from Hät set 8138 Gallic Command.
Hope you'll like them.

I really like this one, I like the way you've painted the tartan setts to show the colour blending you get with woven fabrics. Very nicely done and a good approach to a tricky subject.
I couldn't work out what the lump beside his right leg was, what do you make of it?

Thank you for your comment Graeme. I understand that this lump is the extremity of the sheath, so I painted it bronze metal.
