How is the progress for the few number of ancient sets?
e.g.
8216 Greek Hoplites* 8321 Pyrrhic Elephants*
8305 Carthaginian Sacred Band*
8222 Sassanid Cataphracts* 8224 Sassanid Elephant*
I even don't asked about 8xxx Byzantines*
... and it seems, no plans for future ancient sets.
There is still a (small group) of people, who like to collect ancient and medieval sets, and will buy a lot of them.

That is good news. I hope HäT will consider some Byzantine Cavalry sets as well as some opponents for the Byzantines such as Vandals or Bulgars. Also that the Persian Immortals and Celtoiberians (both of which are listed still on the main catalogue list) will get made in the future. Of interest would be wagon sets for the Goths and Huns. A larger set of Pictish and Frankish warriors as we only have the mini sets at present.

I agree with Devonian, there are a lot of Napoleonic and musket era sets coming out lately.
I would like to see more Ancients now and then. Byzantine infantry, Sassanid Persian cataphracts and elephants, Pyrrhic elephants, sacred band Carthaginians etc.
I also very much like and support his request for Byzantine cavalry (from the Belisarius / Justinian era maybe?) and there opponents; Bulgars, Gothic cavalry and wagons and Vandals? A very interesting empire (succesor of Rome). Only Orion produced Byzantines so far, of different ages, but the quality is very poor and can’t hold a candle to the Hät sets quality!

Yes please, more ancients! Sassanids and Phyrric (for Italian and Sicily campaigns) are the ones I'm most interested in. And other exotic ranges ie Pontic, post-succesor armies having Thureophoroi, Thorakitai and other imitation legionairies.

Just an addition about the 'progress' in ancient sets:
last information where from Jan 2017
and for Byzantines March 2010 Greek Hoplites Jan 2009
that's very recent
no more information available,
this raise the question:
will they ever be realized?

We are always considering the next sets to be made, including ancients.

I'd like to cast a vote for the Greek Hoplites. Osprey just came out with another in their wargaming series called, "Men Of Bronze", about Hoplite vs. Hoplite combat... and these HaT figures would be an awesome addition!
All The Best,

What about a Roman army campsite set?

At least complete the Sassanid range, then folks can get down to army building. Take a break from 'flavour of the month'.

Nick Sekunda’s Osprey book on the Army of Pyrrhus is due out in September 2019. It’s one of the first monographs to cover the army, and although information on dress and uniforms is sure to be extremely scanty, it should nevertheless draw some attention to a new hero and an interesting sub-period within Hellenistic warfare.
