More pictures from my big wargame of Waterloo. Cheers. Andrew Wardroper The Guard goes in, splitting to go around La Haye Sainte. Very bunched up as you can see. The killing ground between the two strongpoints; an Old Guard regiment is broken and turns its back, while two Young Guard units mount the the ridge. A Middle Guard unit prepares to assault a British brigade to the right. The intact Old Guard regiment in the middle fails its roll to form square the next turn... A British staff officer invites the remnant of an Old Guard regiment on the other side of La Haye Saint to surrender but to no avail. Casualties - French about 40% infantry (314 from 800 figures), 39% cavalry. 3 guns were lost. - A-A about 22% infantry (190 from 800 figures), 20% cavalry losses (15 from 75 figures) Only 24 Prussian infantry and 16 cavalry figures (Landwehr cavalry suck) So, all in all somewhat stacked against the French. A rule re-do has to occur!
