Just finished.
My Unreliable Saxon grenadiers: And I needed another Prussian ADC. This one in the uniform of a Jager zu Pferde with a green coat to add some colour:
A mixture of HaT & Zvesda figures.

They look great Donald. Surely those schmick uniforms (aka your fine paint job) should increase their morale/discipline or whatever the factor is?!
I'm ever keen on mixing figures (manufacturers and/or poses). You have even managed to hide the many joins on those Zvezda figures, top stuff. Some figure manufacturers seem to want to covert us into model builders!

Hi, James, as you would know, nearly the entire Saxon army capitulated to Fred. the G. who promptly enrolled them as Prussians. I believe they weren't thrilled. The musketeer units became fusiliers (with the daft, half-sized mitre) but the combined grenadier units kept their mitres. History records a patchy record of their battlefield prowess.I believe the somewhat overated Fred. (my personsl opinion: don't sue me)disbanded all but one of the Grenadier battalions. At any rate, the uniforms didn't seem to matter....& as a Napoleonic expert, you'd be well aware of the Neapolitan troops under Murat: beautifully uniformed, indifferently performed. Lots of filler in the arm joints. I don't love Zvesda quite as much as some do (number & type of poses, size etc are all problematic) & working on these 'armless chaps hasn't exactly endeared me any further.
Thank goodness for HaT's SYW Prussians for providing command figures & also lots of spare three cornered hats I'm using to convert said Zvesda Grenadiers into Prussian Garrison regiments. I have, of course, quite a lot of totally HaT Prussian infantry units.
But the BIG QUESTION: where are the HaT SYW cavalry? ?
