Fantastic painting. Really nicely done. "The figurines have beautiful details but I find them a little thick ..." Yes these figures were produced to match Hats big box of French 1808-1812 Line Infantry which are in the same "chunky" style. That box is divided into Grenadiers, Voltigeurs & Fusiliers in a realistic ratio as to how a real battalion would of been formed. Take a look on the website www.plasticsoldierreview.com for a more detailed look at this at other Hat sets. The choices of pose in that set was good and the way the box was divided between the 3 troop types was a fantastic idea. However the chunky style and oddly spread legs for the Marching figures, is a required taste!! |

These figures are of a different style but some of the best detailed in the 1:72 world.

A lovely job of these too. I particularly like that you have done the first few as grenadiers from Oudinot's 'grenadiers', with the red turnbacks.
