hi - got myself box of hat 28mm Napoleonic Brit Lt Dragoons in pre 1813 uniform with Tarleton head dress. I don't paint much in this scale and just fancied a detour from my usual 1/32nd & 1/72nd scales.
Nice figures been trimming the flash off and undercoating today, but bit confused at the designated 28mm size as they are much smaller than Victrix/Perry 28mm yet are bigger than hats usual 1/72nd scale and fall somewhere in between.
They are only slightly bigger in stature than the recent Italeri 1/72nd figures which are by a different sculptor and bigger in stature than the older Italeri 1/72nd sets..
Anyhow going to enjoy painting them all the same and will get a few more hat 28mm Naps to go alongside them
cheers Dave

Take a look at the size comparisons on "plasticsoldierreview". The problem is that with the designated 1/72nd scale figures can range from 22mm to 26mm. Nearly all of them should be at 24mm a 6 foot person would be exactly 1 inch. But even today most people are less than 6 feet tall. If you buy the Zvedza Seven Years War Prussian Hussars that are 26 mm tall they would probably be the right historic height in a 28 mm army since Hussars were smaller men on smaller horses.

Back when the Courier was still published, they used "Toby Barrett" measure, which consisted of the figure's height, measured from the bottom of the feet/top of stand to the figure's eyes, along with an subjective "light, medium, or heavy" assessment.
TB measure was the most consistent measuring standard, but died off with the Courier.
