Could I make a plea for this set to be progressed please. Whilst there seems to be a good choice of 20mm figures posed in M1941 and M1943 uniforms (e.g. European temperate climate) there is a distinct lack of sculpts of GI's in shirtsleeve order. As these are needed for some aspects of the Mediterranean and most Far East theatres it seems a glaring omission. The illustrated roughs look excellent as they are, but the apparent empty space in the line up could be filled by an advancing GI with separate arm, weapon choices being of an SMG and a carbine. Is there a target release timeline, however, directional ?

I would like to add my humble +1 for this topic too...I would be really happy if we got new WW2 HaT sets this year, the US GIs and the BEF would be very welcomed.

I would go along with this. Looking at HaTs latest products there has been a lack of WW2 subjects over the last few years with an emphasis of on the Napoleonic period.
As 'The World at War' from IBG has produced both A9 and A10 Early WW2 British tanks. Its time to get the BEF and US GI figures rolling. It always amazes me that major players like early BEF are not already available in plastic. Yes there are the Zvevda 4 man sets (a bit on the tall side for me!)but that is it. Likewise, WW2 French forces are grossly under represented and the Caesar miniature and Pegasus rare as hens teeth.

Not quite sure who you would call a major allied player after the fall of France except the the British forces -have you considered the commonwealth (then called empire) forces - as all other countries in Europe had capitulated or had a pro Nazi governments installed or were "neutrals". If you are thinking of the Soviets they were allied with the third Reich from 1939-41 a fact that is conveniently forgotten. The HaT BEF set could also represent Canadian forces as well as the 390,000 British forces available May 1940. Remember also the British army was fully mechanised by 1936 unlike the third reich which used horse transport throughout WW2.
