Hi,
I have just gone on to my usual UK online hobby stores (Model Hobbies and Hannants) and ordered some Hat stuff and very surprised to see a lot of new releases were not available on either. I understand Brexit and COVID problems etc. but surprised no Napoleonic Austrian Command (main thing I wanted) or British Light and Heavy Dragoons or other obvious stuff.
I know Hannants is the main model wholesaler in the UK. Does anyone know of any other which might have these in stock?
I have in the past looked at ordering from online stores in Poland and the Ukraine which are often better stocked with product. Anyone any suggestions for alternative online suppliers, possibly nearer to home (eg. the Netherlands, France etc.)?

Just posted in other thread. Drum & Flag have the Austrian command set and the other accompanying sets. Your right though, stock levels on the whole in the UK have seen a fair amount of sets not available for a while. With Covid/Brexit, that was to be expected really. Container ports have been backlogged too, again due to Covid (many shops etc were closed so new stock & products sitting on the docks). If you really need some British Heavy Dragoons, have a look at the SHQ (Old Kennington figures). I know they are metal rather than plastic, but they match up to Hats set quite well. Might just fill the void for the time being at least. shqltd.com/product-category/kennington/20mm-napoleonic/british-20mm-napoleonic/british-cavalry/

I have got to say if Hat could shake up its restocks department & manage to keep every in stock they would make a lot more profit. The number of times I have had to buy elsewhere because the HAT product was out of stock again.

Does make planning out armys awkward if never know if a set is gonna take a long time to appear again.....if at all.

Cheers

To be honest I can wait until next year for the Austrian sets I have been busy with the earlier Hat Austrians & I have had enough of white uniforms for a while. I think I will assemble a few of the Quick build tanks I have in stock to keep me busy.

"but surprised no Napoleonic Austrian Command (main thing I wanted) or British Light and Heavy Dragoons or other obvious stuff."
I suspect container prices are having a damaging effect on shipment as there's a shortage and the prices have increased alarmingly:
this is bound to have some effect on pricing and delivery... may even put many out of business...
