I love it, wasn't expecting to get Hungarian troops so this is great. I agree with comment that there should be a firing Grenadier in the action box. I would also love to see some head dress variants included like we got with the French fusiliers if possible?

Neat first comment. They look really good. Can't wait to add them to my WWI set.

Franco-Prussian War Pommeranian Piccolo Players would be a great addition, I think. By then they had changed from the bi-corn/cocked hat they had worn for almost two hundred years to pickelhaube. They still retained their lederhosen though. I agree with Franco-Prussian war idea. Especially if we get a "brothers war" set that included some of the minor German States uniforms during the 1866 war against Austria as well.

Normally I totally agree that the scale issue is problematic especially between companies. But in this case I am not seeing the issue. The line infantry were generally shorter than elite units, who often had the largest and strongest men in them. Those men look like to different height men, but are generally proportionally the same. I get the impression that one is about 6 foot and the other is pushing 5'9 maybe 5'10. For me its when the scale is so off that it looks like they could not exist in the same universe. But this is mainly an issue with the more proportionally correct troops vs the more cherub/exaggerated features sets produced a ways back.

The sets are in production now at the factory. That is great news. Is there a tentative release date?

Has there been any news lately about this production line? I am not complaining about the time table, as I assume it takes a lot to create a new series but the main page still has the Prussians as "awaiting delivery" and I know that is not true. I received mine months ago, so I am guessing that is done or if nothing else is almost done. I would hope we would get some updates from time to time, if nothing else where they are in the steps. There are already very well done painted prototypes so I assume its close to completion?

I agree with the concerns over numbers. For me its standardization. I am really liking that hat is releasing these marching/action/command sets, it allows me to pick what I want, in my case the marching are ideal for the project I am working on. But if the Prussian set is 40, I don't want the french to be 24, then the Russians be 32, ect ect. It just means I end of with vastly different sized armies or a bunch of none used men, which is wasteful and something I don't like at all.

I think it depend on the set. If its all one type of infantry/ a shared action, like a marching set, then 48. If its a mixed set 60 or greater, this includes mixed action/marching or different types of troops.

I agree, detached backpacks do little for me. I love the changeable heads, if I don't use them with the box they came in I end up using them latter on different projects. I can't say the same for packs.

Has there been any news on these sets lately? The Prussian Landwehr are arriving now so I wonder if this means everything is advancing forward in production?

I am very happy so far with regards to the new designs that have been show cased. The AWI sets look amazing. I am also interested in the ACW sets. With that in mind I wonder if we will get any additional Victorian age sets? The Franco-Prussian war and Crimean War would be two of particular interest. I get the impression that Hat would rock at the Franco-Prussian war in particular as I really loved their early WW1 French and Germans, which look pretty similar.
Would love to see a Prussian/Allied German States set (marching/advancing/command) Maybe have it where we can head swap between the Pickelhaube or soft cover, which would allow them to cover the war with the Danish.
French line, Zouaves, and maybe the Foreign Legion (hasn't been a good one in a long time) during the Franco-Prussian war (M/A/C)
British during the Crimean war. (M/A/C) would love to see an option where you could head swap the Albert shako vs the forage cap.
I think the time period has a lot of options that weren't covered. Considering Hat already has an impressive collection already, might be worth considering down the road.

I love this plan. The colonial period (seven years war and AWI) doesn't have a lot of great options so if these are like the Prussians I am super on board and will purchase a few boxes as soon as possible.

1 ) The American Revolution set sounds pretty interesting. No one does the Continental army well. So the marching, action, and command Continental Army sets would be amazing.
2) Also Like the German MG set. Though might recommend merging the German MG and German Jager MG sets into one big MG set.
3) Italian Army WW1 gets no love at all so The sets focusing on them would be great.

I feel the pain around here. Its frustrating. Been waiting on my Prussian Landwehr since July. At the same time I understand that it takes time. I hope that Hat starts at least releasing time tables moving forward. Even if there are delays it give one a sense of generally when things are expected to be released.
For example, I am torn, I want to wait on these new french fusiliers and grenadiers but if there not coming out until 2019 or something I might go with other options. Right now we have no clue, its just a "some day" thing. I am happy to wait as they look amazing but one bird in hand is worth two in the bush?

Will we see a few separate heads in Kepis for the early war ? Totally agree. Not only would the Kepis be right for early units, but the Italians also were slow to introduce the Adrian Helmet due to limited resources.

I have to say. These look great. I am already greatly enjoying the Prussians under Fredrick the Great and can't wait to have them face off against the hated Austrian forces. I hope we see a British and French set from this period as well. I love the 3 box concept. Its made my custom board gaming much more economic (less wasted figures).

Pretty cool looking overall. I am happy to see a nice selection of elite troops, including the Alpine forces represented. I am not loving the Standing stance of the Alpine trooper, sort of reminds me of the odd stances we saw with the German Jaegers. But happy never the less.
