How about a soldier reaching into his cartridge box in place of the formal looking one at the front of the top row. Or maybe as a bonus figure.

Why do you ask this question?

Why do you ask this question? The reason I ask is I have been told by the old Hat management that they had already done the box artwork in Helmets for the Nap Austrian Infantry (although they never actually showed the artwork on the forum), I later found this picture done by an artist used by Hat many times and thought it could be for the box and also it would make a good Avatar for drumming up support for Nap Austrian Infantry, what do you think?

I think there is an Austrian avatar just for you.

Is there a picture? I can't see it... If we are talking about Austrians - agree in principle with the previous points- officers, generals, standard bearers and marching figures would be appreciated as would Hungarians...

Dear Hat and Greentiger, apart from the comprehensive list of Austrians already mentioned, I also agree that adding Austrian hussars too, would be great. Giovanni.

Despite some reservations about a couple of poses, these Austrians will be an incredibly important release and I would like to see production underway as soon as possible so that I may begin to purchase many boxes. I hope we don't have long to wait.

Please discuss what you would like to see, and please suggest some possible bonus figures: ... ...

May i suggest that the advancing figures keep their muskets a bit more upwards rather than horizontal, as the Austrian Grenadiers already have such poses. Also, for a bonus figure, i would like to suggest a pose at the ready to fire, with musket up in the air, since no one has produced these. Another possibility could be biting the bullet before ramming it down the barrel. Good luck! can't wait to see them in the shop, as i am planning a big Wagram diorama.

How about as a bonus pose an NCO pointing, similar to that in the 1806 Saxon Infantry?

This is very nice set Hat that I would love to see done in plastic but I have noticed that these figures have the square cuffs and the legwear of the German Regiments. What would be every nice would be a sister set with the pointed cuffs and trousers of the Hungarian regiments as well.
Then break off these two main sets into MAC format so that there is six different sets to choose from. German Marching / Action and Command and Hungarian Marching / Action and Command as well.
I think I would prefer spare heads as opposed to spare hats as I would like to convert any overflow into Dutch troops (Which wore the Austrian Shako) So Helmuts of the figures, and spare heads of Shakos (For my Dutch troops) Bearskins (for Grenadiers) and Top Hats for Corsican Hats to turn my Landwehr into Jaegers...
If this is going to be a 3D printed set the for a bonus figure then you are going to need an officer shielding as much of his face with his cape as possible from the sun with his left arm with either a pointed sword or pistol in his right for the two Transylvanian (Hungarian) regiments !

My I suggest getting rid of the at attention figure as these chaps have limited usefulness?
Another foot officer and Sapper would compliment the unit.
Best wishes,
Chris

A couple of firing jaegers in Corsican hat are welcome. One standing fire and other kneeling fire. A sappeur marching and an office advancing with bicorne. Ciao!!

I would agree about losing the soldier at attention, but I would personally replace him with another soldier advancing with an upright musket.

I thought the point was to suggest bonus figures, not revisions to the set?
I am in favour of keeping the figure standing to attention. O find such figures most useful.
When using figures in a 2-deep firing line, if I want a command figure in the front row, it is good to have a standing figure who is not loading behind. Moreover, when arranged in column, they are ideal for third and subsequent ranks.
If you're going to field Napoleonic battalions using firing and loading positions (which, I confess, I am not that fond of), I would have thought some standing pose such as this would have been essential.
No need to muck about with the set for my sake.

I am Happy with the current line up of poses all the basic poses are covered, it would be nice to add some extra poses if it did not cause any further delays, I guess that any extra poses will be as bonus figures and in that case I would go for a Sapper, extra foot officer, another NCO, advancing Musket high pose.
I earlier suggested some Hungarians as bonus figures but I have come to realize that a 3 or 4 bonus figures is never going to be satisfactory and we need a whole new set of Hungarians, as for the Jaeger suggestion I think Hat's Austrian Landwehr set could be the answer when there restocked.
