Very nice. They may be the other extreme to the riot of colour of the Mamelukes but, in their own way, I think the all black uniforms with just small details of colour make an equally impressive sight. The Brunswickers do look really impressive in there units & look like they mean business, they are well painted and well laid out I think we could do with some more sets to add a bit of variety to our armies maybe Hat could add another set like the did with the Bavarian infantry /fusilier sets the fusilier set is never in stock so that proves it must be popular & I think that another Brunswick set would sell just as well if not better.

I never realised there was a lot support for the Brunswick infantry but I would support it myself if I didn't want the Austrians so much, some Brunswick artillery would be nice as well & HaT don't seem happy making artillery sets, although the artillery sets I have had from them have been OK .

They are beautifully painted with top notch brushwork, but why do I get the feeling it may be years before we will be able to buy them in the shops.

8169 Bavarian Fusiliers
The other Bavarian infantry set appears to be available in the UK, but Set 8169 seems to be sold out in the UK, though they seem to be available in the US.
Wouldn't mind a couple of boxes.
This set was restocked about a year ago & sold out within a month or two, I nearly bought it but assumed that it would be available for longer & so missed out. lesson being when you see hats restocks you need get in quick or lose out.

Fantastic scenes in all pictures capturing the feel of a real battle with real people its like someone had a camera in 1815 a managed to take some pictures witch have just turned up now . What an imagination you have to construct these scenes that are a real work of art not to mention the skills involved in creating the battle scenes & the time spent setting it all up you can tell its a labour of love top marks all round I'm spellbound & in awe.

"In theory just one pose is required for such a set – that of a man marching as per the regulations, but here we find four different ones. Basically these poses illustrate the change from standing to attention (‘Shoulder Arms’ or portez vos armes) to marching (‘Support Arms’ or l’arme au bras). Standing to attention involves supporting the musket on the left shoulder by holding it under the butt (pose one above). The soldier then takes the weight of his musket with his right hand (pose two), bends his left and places the lock of the musket in the crook of his arm (pose three), and finally withdraws his right hand (pose four). Therefore the last pose is the one seen when moving across a battlefield, on parade or just on guard duty." -Plastic Soldier Review I would love to see variety in the marching set, but can Hat please stop repeating this particular error? Thanks for the quote but which set is that from? Hi not entirely sure but this looks very much like the comments regarding the Waterloo 1815 French marching set that was released recently maybe someone got a bit mixed up with manufactures

That's quite a list as I am a Nappy man I can only comment on the sets for Napoleonic times. we started off well with Brunswick artillery witch I too would like to see & we could do with more Belgians & Dutch troops as well I also would like to see the command sets come to fruition. Regarding the highlanders & British infantry they have in my opinion been done to death by a lot of manufacturers leaving maybe space for a dedicated firing line for each set only. The two cavalry sets mentioned have already also been done well by others & I would not be interested in purchasing any more new sets to replace them. There is I believe a place for another set of British rifles the Italeri set being too large & the only other set by revell being hard to find these days & I would welcome some more new Austrian sets of any description but mainly some new cavalry maybe lancers.

Hi hat I think people are really happy with the drawings & the variety of having interchangeable heads & other bits ,the original plans look pretty good & i think I would have to buy at least four boxes of them to try out all the permeations on offer. The Hungarian Knots on the trousers seems a good idea though & we also need the Austrian restocks asap to keep us going until the new sets arrive pretty please.

I too was at the 2015 re-enactment & also saw little of the battle after the first 15 minutes the smoke descended & we could see nothing it was a bit of an anti climax the best memories for me were visiting the reenactors camps & the new underground museum.

The original owner of hat had to take a back seat due to illness I have heard, & the new people are coming to terms with running the business. They hopefully will turn the corner soon as they get used to the ins & outs of the company. The quickest & easiest way to get money in would to get the restock situation sorted out & just look at the list building up on the restocks post, there is a guaranteed sell out as soon as they reach the shops as most of the Napoleonic sets have been requested time & again, this would make both customers happy & ease any cash flow problems Hat is maybe having. wake up hat these restocks are guaranteed sales.

I could never really get into the Pacific it spent too much time away from the fighting. Another good war film released this year was hacksaw ridge it wins my vote for the worst place to be in ww2 you would not want to be up there when all the Japanese come swarming out of the fox holes I felt a chill run down my spine. It was based on a true story as well with an interview with the actual medic at the end, He was a bit geeky which goes to show not all hero's were macho men like Hollywood likes to portray.

I must be missing something as I thought Dunkirk was disappointing after all the hype It seem to drag out the different stories & the out of fuel spitfire shooting the stuka down was very poor but to my best war films in order the Battle of Britain , Cross of iron, waterloo, Zulu, saving private Ryan but for the best ww2 action it would be hard to beat the band of brothers series.
