Bill, these have just been re-released. I've seen these available on a few different sellers pages now.

Baggage wagon on your list is a good suggestion. There are not many wagon sets out there for any period so I for one (and I'm probably not the only person) use these wagon sets for multiple armies and periods.

I'm not that interested in the 30 years war period, but every time a set of Revell Imperials or Swedes is on ebay it sells for a small fortune. That implies to me that there is still demand for this period and that there is currently minimal stock out there available. Hat could do worse things then enter this market with a few big sets that cover all angles. But they would have to be as good as Revells versions which are brilliant. I have one set of each of their 30 YW range and have no intention of using them, but they are too good not have in my collection.
Of course the easiest thing would be for Revell to re-release them and make some quick and easy money. But they won't! Hat do already have a lot they've committed themselves to for the future so this could be a great opportunity for another manufacturer to come into the market. ACTA could try their luck again as most of their sets are pretty good.

The best thing I did to remain enthusiastic whilst painting was to paint in smaller quantities. Previously I'd try and paint a whole box in one go. This meant I spent ages and ages painting the same things (50 redcoats, then 50 trousers etc). Now I paint in quantities of approx 15-20, which means I spend less time on each specific monotonous task and am able to more than one piece of kit in a sitting.

Agreed, knowing what is actually being worked on at this moment in time avoids speculation and frustration!

Thanks Admin for being pro-active and telling us the next batch of re-restocks. Really pleased to see the Zulu War British inf and command on the list.

Hey Admin,
Now the latest batch has been released are you able to say where the AWI range sits on your to-do list? Are you able to announce what the next projects to be completed are (not asking for release dates-just your intended order).
Still hoping these AWI sets are in your thoughts!

My favourite is probably the Zulu War British command set.
Worst-either Russian Cossacks, Nap Russian Artillery or Nap Dutch Inf.

I've noticed the same as well. Hopefully this will encourage Hat to be quicker with future re-stocks. It should be easy money for them!

Delighted to see British Colonial Artillery re-released. The one set I have not been able to get hold of that I have been looking for for the past 2 years. With the release of unmarried zulus and all other zulu war sets still available I'm pretty sure they are missing a trick by not re-releasing British Infantry. Those sets have sold for a lot of money on ebay
Well done Hat for such a large quantity of re-stocks, and not taking advantage of us by charging more for the most sought after sets. £8.99 is very good for a box of the Nassau or British Peninsular inf when they were selling on ebay for over £40!!! If only Revell would follow suit and re-release some of their sets (30 year war kits are selling for criminal prices!).

As mentioned in previous threads, I am very enthused by this project. The masters look great and it would be a huge waste for these not to be turned into sets. As my biggest wish of French Indian War sets will probably never happen, this is my next biggest interest.

The second batch of pics makes the size look better than the marching figures pic did. However, I have a feeling these are just a fraction too big-and the marching figure just IS too big. But, still look like great figures!

I agree with the majority here-48 figures is a good amount

Although they look great, they are far too big.
Your Prussians (as well as Revell and Zvezda's) are too big really, and although we want the Austrians to obviously be compatible with all SYW sets, it would be better to have these Austrians either the same size as all those Prussians (which unfortunately means they cannot be mixed with any other range), or slightly smaller then the Prussians (as the Revell Austrians are). Those Revell Austrians fit in with other ranges as well as all the SYW Prussians. So, in my opinion at least, the worst thing that could happen is for these to be even bigger than the Prussians!
I'm sure you are already aware, but PSR do have size comparisons on all the SYW sets to give a better visual aid.
However, the figures themselves look very good and I'm really pleased to see some consultation in sizes before any final decisions are made.

Ok, I'll keep imagining what these sets could look like in the mean time. Thanks for the quick reply.

Any updates on this Admin? Is this something that could be happening in the near future or is it something being considered but realistically far off?
