I too agree with Neilad, I think that is the best path. A bit sad the figure with rolled blanket only comes with sack coat, and the frock coat figure is only usable as Union with the Hardee. And we're also seeing only 24 figures per box? There were originally three different figures with frock coats in the raw scans with different hat styles, that was then reduced to the one we see now. When I expressed my disappointment at this change the feedback was that people did not want many frock coats. However I think a mix of 1,4,5,7,8 would work well as union figures maybe 1,1,4,4,5,5,5,7,7,8,8,8 and 2,3,6,9,10,11,12 as confederate maybe 2,2,3,3,6,6,9,9,10,11,12,12 Well we should at least have a frock coat figure with a kepi, could be for both sides, but I understand if it's only two sprues per box nowadays which in itself is sad, I'd love a big box of marchers instead, 96 figures of Union and CS marching, with a slew of frock coats, wouldn't that be neat..

I agree with Jason, people tend to think you can use some generic ACW figure for both sides when the styles and equipment would be very different. However if it's only possible to release one set within reasonably time then I'm for it.

I think it's better to paint just one army or project at a time, but now I'm working on Alexander the Great and Porus armies, ACW armies, and 30 year war troops.

I agree with Neilad, they come across as too bulky, good to see you're rescaling them.

I hope set 8161 WWI French 75mm Cannon is somewhere among those boxes, seems odd HaT releases early French artillery crew but the French artillery piece is not available to buy, not all of us have that set.

I assumed he meant the row of boxes. That would be very stingy if it was only that one box. Yes I really hope so, nice figures, thanks for the tip about the Swedish conversions, gonna grab me a few boxes for my Swedo-Russo War project.

Can't wait, great to see this going forward. The shoulder boards on officers can only be of use for Union side since Confederates had their officer insignia on sleeves but they can be trimmed off. Also the canteen looks hugely oversized on the color bearers.

Final results of the 3D printing, perhaps HaT is interested in producing this?

Well you have a point, I'm gonna 3D print this elephant, and the accessories separate and use them on the Zvezda elephants, I think HaTs elephants are gonna take a while..

Wouldn't mind a couple of boxes myself. Thought HaT was going to make these anyway? I guess it doesn't hurt reminding them we still want them. well you may be right, it just seemed to me they were not priority.

Although the elephants with tusks are obviously more imposing, with the Indian variety the females of the species do not have tusks. So could somebody inform me: were only Male elephants used in battle or was it the case that 2500 years ago all indian elephants had tusks? Best regards, Malcolm It is believed only male elephants were used in battle because female elephants would run from male elephants. Female elephants were used for logistical tasks.

I can only come up with some nitpicking, the finial on flag pole should be heartshaped, now it's more of a generic spear tip.. The officer pose is spot on, perfect, much better than having his sword against the shoulder although both options are good. And we even get a soldier with a Hardee hat! A mix of sack and shell jackets, I'm sure ppl have opinions about the composition of the sets, number of sack coats and so on, I only hope for two sets, one with Confederates with more blanket rolls and shell jackets. Also I'm not an expert on marching poses, I always assumed the rifles were carried at an angle (see picture below), and not straight up, so sadly they won't match my currently used marching figures, they also seem "chunkier" but it's probably impossible to make them thinner I assume. But having said that I still hope you put these into production as soon as possible, these will be the best ACW figures ever produced and the first real marching ACW set(that other company's figures don't count!) in the 1/72 hobby. Well done is all I say.
